The exclusivity seemed a decent start (not fair, but fairness is a factor relying on a clear eye checking both columns of a ledger) but Rafe wants to ensure that this sudden insecurity is nipped in the bud. Never mind there's still that matter of what happened over Christmas that needs dealing with. He still catches Fenris averting his gaze now and again, almost fearful of direct eye contact, and it's too reminiscent of their early days together for Rafe's liking.
