CHARACTER INFORMATION

✘ Name: Fenris
✘ Canon: Dragon Age
✘ Canon Point: Act III, Hawke hands him over to Danarius

✘ Age: No canon age given and Fenris himself has no idea, would tell the officials as much, but if he has to give a guess he will say around late forties
✘ History: Link
✘ Personality:

You're assigned a group project. What role do you end up taking?

I am my master's sword and shield. His weapon. Though sometimes he would have me pour his guests their wine. He says my appearance intimidates them. A pointless question, regardless. I do not "take" roles. I do what is commanded of me.

You have the chance to anonymously send a letter to someone who's wronged you in the past. What does it say?

I understand why you did it. I once again allowed myself to become complacent with my newfound freedom, made my distrust of mages and some of the company you keep crystal clear. You thought I was a threat to your plans with the mages.

I wasn't. I would have followed you to the ends of Thedas. I followed you into the Fade. I trusted your judgement, even if I rarely agreed.

But I failed to prove my loyalty, and in the end you disposed of the problem yourself. Part of me still wants to reach into your chest and crush your heart as you have crushed mine, but that is an anger that has always dwelled deep within me. Perhaps it is time to stop ingesting the poison of my hatred.

I forgive you.

Someone you admire very much has just done something you find reprehensible. How do you deal with the situation?

It is not my place to say. People like me bite their tongues if they know what's good for them. I learned that the hard way, many times, in my youth. From what I remember of it, that is. In the past, however, I’ve been known to tell others what they do not wish to hear.

If you could achieve all your goals right now, what would your life look like?

I have no goals. I have no dreams. I think only of how I can serve my master today and tomorrow. His goals are mine, as are his desires.

Someone tells you all your flaws. What did they tell you, and are they right or wrong?

Perhaps that I am too unwieldy. It would be a lie to disagree, though since my return to Tevinter I've been working on controlling my temper and learning to follow direction again. I may be too kind on myself, given my track record of escapes.

✘ Type: Fire elemental
✘ Powers:

Power 1: Flame wraith: Fenris can turn his body into pure fire in order to phase through walls/objects/people (doesn't work for game breaky things naturally), and can control if it's his whole body or a single body part. He can only do this for 60 seconds at a time, and requires a few minutes of "cooldown" (warm down????????)

Power 2: Explosive temper: Channeling his anger, Fenris can explode into balls of flame around a small area, though it takes him a few minutes to "reform" again, and this is when he's most vulnerable as anyone can snuff his flames out easily, which will kill him.

Power 3: Form switching: Fenris can take on a full elemental form with fire for hair, constantly engulfed in flames, but he can also revert to his original form. When he does this though the Lyrium infused markings on his body boil and burn him while in this form, making his skin sensitive to the touch, much like canon only worse. When he's in his full elemental form, however, it doesn't bother him.

✘ Inventory: A greatsword and the clothes on his back.

Like waking up in a dream, dazed and confused, Fenris has no idea how he ended up in the mouth of this cave. He doesn't panic, though, just stares into the darkness, ears twitching as he attempts to hear something barely above a whisper. Normally, something like this would put him on the defensive. He would draw his sword and demand whatever demons dwell in this cave show themselves, far too used to putting down abominations and things that shouldn't exist in this or any world. But his sword remains at his back, and his eyes scan the darkness as a figure gradually begins to form.

He squints, confused as to why he can barely see anything but a shape with his elven eyes, usually superior to most. But it's not long before the shape takes on a full form, stepping just out of the shadows, enough for Fenris to see.

"Hawke?", he questions just barely above a whisper.

When Hawke doesn't speak, and merely gestures with a nod of his head to come closer, Fenris takes a hesitant step forward. "You...did you come back for me?" His tone goes from hopeful to bitter as he remembers what happened, mentally chides himself for thinking something so foolish. "Or did you return to mock me?"

"Fenris...what're you waiting for?" He holds out his hand, and foolish, foolish, Fenris instinctively reaches back.

Then he feels someone grab him from behind, an arm around his neck and another around his middle, berating him for his betrayal. Fenris struggles, but his master's grip is too tight.

"Master-?" the arm around his neck tightens, pressing on his sensitive markings while cutting off his air, his plea turning into a choked sound as he tries to pry the arm off him.

"Don't you dare go to that Ferelden dog!" Danarius, or whatever it is wearing his face, loosens his grip around Fenris' throat, as if wanting to hear his response. It's enough of a relief that Fenris stops fighting his master, watching as Hawke sneers at him.

"I...won't." His arms drop to his sides, defeated, and just like that no one is holding him back. That, or he was let go, but the elf chooses not to look behind himself to see, focused only on his former friend. He straightens up, shoulders back, tone more resolved. "You made your choice, Hawke. And I have finally accepted my fate."

Hawke doesn't respond, but Fenris is pulled out of his moment by an annoyed voice nearby. His head snaps in the direction of the voice to see an armed guard approaching, telling him to get out, he shouldn't be here, don't make him say it again. Fenris glances around for Hawke, but there is no sign of him or Danarius. Taking a few steps back as the guard advances, he holds up a hand. "My apologies. I'll be on my way."

And with that, he left.
